Question!!!
replied on: 10/24/2004 7:10:09 PM

Lookit, I got a question. ^^ If I have writer's block? What, like now? XD Oh, there's a lot of crap I do. It depends on the depth of the block. I tend to work on something else until I get in a proper mood for writing whatever's blocked, but if I need an idea and fast, I'll sometimes write up summaries of what I want to happen in a chapter, to see what works out, what doesn't, etc. You know all that stuff your english teachers make you learn, like graphic organizers, outlining, brainstorming? It actually comes in handy. Visual aids help too. Let's say I'm writing a war scene (like now). I tend to write out where the goodguys are, where the enemies are (and what they are), where the big obstacles are, then mark off the path through. If all else fails, just sitting down and forcing yourself to work on it helps too, even if you have to go back and change stuff later. ^^
