Rank Structure & Promotion
posted on: 7/1/2003 5:24:15 AM

Writs
¯¯¯¯¯
OK, I've decided to introduce a new rank structure based on the amount of writs one executes. Whether or not you execute it successfully is another irrelevant matter . This guild is about status and glory. Honour is only for those who want it.

Anyway, here goes:

Novice Assassin - 0 writs
Initiate Assassin - 2 writs
Competent Assassin - 5 writs
Stealthy Assassin - 10 writs
Master Assassin - 25 writs
Silent Assassin - 50 writs

Any issues with this, either ask me here or at the Administrator's Office.

Oh, and by the way, you do not have authority over anyone of a lower rank than you.

Authoritarial Ranks
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

Officers
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
1. Grandmaster
2. Commandant
3. Commander
4. Guild Captain
5. 1st Lieutenant
6. 2nd Lieutenant

Members
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
1. Assassin Sergeant
2. Assassin Corporal
3. Assassin

These ranks start with the highest. Higher ranks have authority over lower ranks, with all officer ranks having authority over all member ranks.

Promotion
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Since I have now decided to implement authoritarial ranks, this is how promotion will work:

Assassins can be promoted further along the promotion path for members if they do things such as:

- Complete several writs with competence
- Prove loyalty to the guild
- Suggest new features for the guild or bring new features to the guild or the Plane of Fire on a regular basis
- Don't constantly beg me for promotion

Assassin Sergeants can also be promoted to 2nd Lieutenants in this way

Assassins can be promoted straight to 2nd Lieutenant if they do things such as:

- Save the life of another guild member
- Uncover and report treachery among the ranks directly to the Grandmaster or the Commanding Officer of a branch
- Don't constantly beg me for promotion

If you think you deserve promotion, then tell me and I will consider it. However, if I refuse you please do not constantly beg for promotion without constructive reason, otherwise it lowers your chances of ever being promoted.
