    By a ToD source:

The bugs have been horrible! Before Ross made any fixes, every hit got us 50 acres. It didn't matter if we hit someone much larger than us or much smaller than us, we only got 50 acres. Ross tried to correct this, but his "fix" resulted in Pavin getting 1200 acres from a 250 acre "inactive".

Ross "fixed" it again, and then every hit got minimal acres. In one case a dragon hit a guy 77% his size and got 5 acres.

Everything seems to be better now, but it took four tries to get things fixed. Sheesh!

It was a bit disappointing that Ross hadn't debugged dragons properly before he gave us these accounts. I don't think many, if any, dragons benefitted from the bugs, and it certainly hurt most of us. In fact, this oop I grabbed over 200 acres less than I have done with other non-fast return races.

  • What do you think about the "Dragon" race?

  • Are you enjoying it?

  • What's it like being in an entire Realm of "Actives"?

  • Besides the bug problems, do you think this will be one of your most enjoyable rounds ever?

  • I hope you don't mind the questions, but I am curious, and I'm sure that others are as well. Do you think you could get some of the other Dragons to voice their opinions here too?
    Thx.

I have wanted to play dragons ever since round 7.
The opportunity has been worth every penny I ever spent on a premium account. (Ross, I want my cash rebate for the plug).
This is by far, the funnest round ever in the 15 rounds or so I've played.

Being in a realm of all active players just scratches the surface of what makes it great to play a dragon.
First, the fact that the majority of the dragons (okay, all but me) are really, really, really skilled. The realm organization and cooperation is unmatched. I've only once before been in a realm this organized.

Second, I definately feel "part" of the game, so it makes every hour update feel important. I may need a break from dominion after this round... NOT!!

Lastly, it's those funny in-game messages from n00bs. OMG, some of them are priceless and I just want to frame them all and put them on the wall of my office.

I think the Dragons are very powerful indeed (as they should be). We're not without our weaknesses though as some DE have proven! If the rest of dom put their heads together, they could take us down easy.

I am enjoying this a lot! It is great to be with some very skilled players. Our level of organization is unbelievable. It has really opened my eyes.

If every realm were as active as our realm, I have no doubt that it would be number one. I had one round before that had 3 packs in it. Even though there were only 14 active memberrs, and most of us were mediocre players, we clinched the number 2 realm spot with ease. I would rather be in a realm of active players than a realm of good players any day.

The bugs haven't bothered me as much. I should say that it wasn't the bugs that bothered me, but what other people thought about the bugs that bothered me. I don't want people to think that we were a realm of exploiters trying to trick the game out. Aside from the bugs, I'm afraid of what we're going to do when we start running out of targets due to the one week protection rule...maybe build a bunch of wizards and return some fireballs?

I like the dragon idea, but not how it was realized...
There are two games now, one for the 20 dragons one for the rest. Or lets say one for 5-10 good dragons, the rest is down. The good dragons grow outta range and are too strong. No one is interested in top dragons-offence, cause you cant defend against their army! So the good players suffer one hit week by week, but thats not the problem...1/5 land isnt that much.

The only thing dragons are changing is a new kind of tax: If youre too big youve to pay a little dragon-tax each week. Dont know what this should be good for. Btw, neither the "dragon-tax" nor the dragon-fear destroyed my game so far, so ive no problem with dragons...let them play their game...
