replied on: 6/24/2003 5:32:03 PM It's funny. Tim and I were actually having a convorsation about this yesterday. He has a better idea on how to explain this than I do. Although, it appears that treasuries are about worthless, if not 100% worthless. I'll let him take over here. |

replied on: 6/24/2003 6:46:47 PM here's my math on the issue: ill use my current stats: 99% emp 73k unmod income ~2k acres. 10% = 200 acres Attker, 47% draft (had to make some specs recently) 10% treas would be a bonus of .1*73k = 7300 plat mods: 10% midas, 3.5% sci. alch prod= 40*1.135 = 45.4 200*45.4 = 9080 when i get my 10% plat tech in 250 acres the difference will jsut be more pronounced as alchs will produce almost 50 plat/hr. i cant see treas ever working for an attker. imo its b/c of the draft rate. i would only imagine it possible on an explorer with a high def elite defender (ie human) |

replied on: 6/25/2003 10:00:08 AM I unfortunately didn't save my math, but when I worked this with a human explorer who had treasuries, it worked out that he would was making an extra 7 plat per hour with his current build using alchs instead of treasuries. At his rezone cost, it would have taken over 8 weeks to reach the break even point. I haven't done more math on the subject, but I suspect that it may work out that treasuries make more sense than alchs IF you have extra caverns. It looks like it doesn't pay to rezone caverns into alchs. The alchs are slightly better if you don't factor in rezoning. My personal opinion though would be to build more diamond mines instead of treasuries. |

replied on: 6/25/2003 2:26:10 PM if it matters, treasuries actually get better as you get more alchs (since u have more raw income to mod) the ideal may be a mixture. i wont bother trying to do math since im convinced theyre useless for attkers tho. |
