replied on: 5/14/2003 1:08:44 PM I have made a spreadsheet attack calculator. It is available here. If you have any problems, let me know. I have only tested it for Trolls and Wood Elves. It does require Excel 2000 or better. It is now Round 18 compatible and has a drop down box for the various wonders. It still does not calculate your targets offense however. |

replied on: 5/14/2003 3:37:08 PM I like your layout much better than mine.  I also realize that I didn't add code for wonders. Since mine was really just a sheet that starte out as a quick informal calculator for only me to use, it lacks a lot of niceties. It is somewhat disappointing that it lacks buttons for pasting my Status or Military screen into the appropriate spots. That would be handy (and symmetrical). And since the first DP calc I used was the one by Kems and Ghorghor Bey, having a nice, pastable output page is nice. I'm assuming that the "interesting idea" I had was the ability to save ops. I would highly recommend integrating that feature. You probably know more Excel than me, but if you want to know how I did it, just ask. I don't remember if I protected my sheet or not...getting old sucks. |

replied on: 5/15/2003 10:56:58 AM I was looking at the page.htm document at your site, and I see you tried to do the same as me and make your attack calculator web based. Mine also failed.  I think we will have to learn Script to make the functions work. It may also be that instead of using the Toolbox controls, we may need to use Active X controls. I haven't learned much about them yet, but I'll let you know what I learn. |

I have a lot of work left to do, but the hard part is mostly over. Take a look and tell me what you think. I think you'll be amazed. Tims seems to work ok though, and no one has failed an attack do to a calc error on mine yet. BTW the link above is incorrect. Get mine from here: |

replied on: 5/23/2003 10:22:02 AM I just tested Minion's calculator, and you are correct in stating it doesn't extract Forest Havens. (Wouldn't you know, I killed 140 spies only to find out that the first WE I spied on didn't have any.) I noted that on in the link to his site I placed. It calculates them correctly if you manually enter them. Thorsghost, the link you have to Skatha just goes to a link page that links to most of the other links you posted. Not much good anymore.

I'll have to try yours, I normally use Tim's & I've only failed once cause I was in a rush and forgot to calc in are's call what a noob error to make huh!
