Is it possible, explorers will win next round?? Reasons: - Smithies are bad now, it will become very expensive to build a good army - Elite units +10% costs - Dragons will first slay the good attackers. So i guess more guys than last round will only explore...  what do you think about that? Is it still worth to attack? |

I'll just have to have more defense than the next guy, but then again that's why I hate the dragons. They are going to slow everyone else's growth a LOT. -Regis |

I want to play attacker again, but im not sure how... |

replied on: 6/3/2003 11:11:10 PM It is possible that explorers will win this round. I've always thought that a firewalker explorer could hit 10000 acres, and this round a dwarven explorer using all spec defense, high DMs, and masons would have some hellacious bonuses... |

You think the pop bonus combined with Miners for very good improvments is going to compensate for such horrible space inefficiency and make masonries worth building? Are you exploring? I was going to go it alone, but if you are exploring as well I'd like to be in a pack with you and possibly some others. Personally I'm intrigued by possibilities for an exploring race. replied on: 6/4/2003 1:09:26 AM ive heard premium really cuts down on the search time. and the bulk of the excitement from exploring is find a good target to steal from plus you cant get any fun retaliations off. nevertheless, i see why u guys think exploring may be best next round. i hope youre wrong. |

replied on: 6/4/2003 10:24:41 AM I hope I'm wrong too.  I always play attacker. That may be one of the reasons why my wife yells at me. A premium account does cut down on the target searching time, but it still takes a little more time than exploring. I think the new rankings have helped make exploring more fun though, and getting prestige from ops can help an explorer some. Anyway, I promised my wife I would sit this round out, so I won't be packing with anyone.

An explorer pack with high Wizzies would be nice, but I'll do without and pray I get put in a realm with a good pack. If I make it through this round I'll think about switching over to an attacker strat next round. -Regis |

I've going for a prem account this round so that i can cut down on the search times it werent much fun spending hrs looking for a target to hit altho the hitting was good! Just have to spend the next few hrs or days finding the next one

On the day you know you are going to attack, load it full of realm pages, top lists, and searches, then come back to it 6-12 hours later and enter all that stuff again. You'll almost always have a target within an hour. The only bad part is all the time you have to sit and paste stuff into his DB. Maybe I should integrate target searching into my DP Calc... I might try to do that today while the wife's not looking.
