| Regis Quote | Reply | | DE OOP Attacker -- Explorer? posted on: 6/5/2003 9:13:35 PM I was just thinking about the incredible efficiency (both space and income) of Adepts and wondering if a DE explorer with 50% WG could outperform a WE explorer. Adepts are more cost efficient than Mystics starting at 30% WG and gaining 11.5% more efficiency for every 10% WG after that. Here are the cost per point comparisons: Adept = 1000/9 = 111 plat Mystic = 1025/7 = 146 plat The question is; Does the need for 22% less troops and the 23% greater cost efficiency negate the bonus WE gets from running more alchemies than the DE can? Next comes the space efficiency, which obviously favors the DE greatly. Not only are its troops more space efficient by far, but they don't have the -5% population penalty of the WE. But again, is this enough? The DE could attack OOP and have an advantage early round, but between then and time that the DE could get WG up to a high percentage the WE would gain the advantage. Then again, I'm assuming that 50% WG is optimum for a DE explorer. It may not be. Just thought I'd share my thoughts with everyone else. I'm off to examine the efficiency calcs yet again. Thanks Tim! -Regis |
