replied on: 6/8/2003 4:29:45 PM In this thread I've tried to gather all of the formulas related to exploring, hopefully this can be refered to for anything needed A big thanks goes out to the previous dominion strategy forums, most of this wouldnt be possible without work done previously by posters on that forum (http://pub9.ezboard.com/bdominionstrategyforums.html) Exploring Platinum Cost IF [Total land] > 300 (1000 + (3 * ( [Total Land] - 300 ) ^ 1.09 ) ))*[Exploring Plat Mods] ELSE 1000 - ( 3 * ( 300 - [Total Land] ) )*[Exploring Plat Mods] [Total Land] is your current land total and includes built and barren land, but doesnt include incoming land [Exploring Mods] at the time of posting this just includes the Technological Advancements Caravan Leader: -5% exploring platinum cost Explorer's Luck: -10% exploring platinum cost Conqueror's Will: -15% exploring platinum cost (ex. with Explorer's Luck [Exploring Mods] = 90%) Exploring Draftee Cost IF [Total Land] > 300 5 + ( 0,003 * ( [Total Land] - 300 ) ^ 1.07 ) - [Draftee Mod] ELSE 5 - ( 300 / [Total Land] ) - [Draftee Mod] (to a minimum of 3 draftees) [Total Land] is your current land total and includes built and barren land, but doesnt include incoming land [Draftee Mod] is currently only based on the Techonological Advancement : Explorer's Intuition: -1 draftee per acre explore cost (minimum 3) (formulas are from Light, Forseti the Cynical, and Paravidya) Draftee Guidelines for Exploring 4 draftees - Below 300 acres 5 draftees - Below 420 acres 6 draftees - Below 633 acres 7 draftees - Below 837 acres 8 draftees - Below 1036 acres 9 draftees - Below 1230 acres 10 draftees - Below 1422 acres 11 draftees - Below 1611 acres 12 draftees - Below 1799 acres 13 draftees - Below 1985 acres 14 draftees - Below 2169 acres 15 draftees - Below 2353 acres 16 draftees - Below 2535 acres 17 draftees - Below 2716 acres 18 draftees - Below 2896 acres 19 draftees - Below 3075 acres 20 draftees - Below 3254 acres 21 draftees - Below 3431 acres 22 draftees - Below 3608 acres 23 draftees - Below 3785 acres 24 draftees - Below 3960 acres 25 draftees - Below 4136 acres 26 draftees - Below 4310 acres 27 draftees - Below 4484 acres 28 draftees - Below 4658 acres 29 draftees - Below 4831 acres 30 draftees - Below 5003 acres 31 draftees - Below 5175 acres 32 draftees - Below 5347 acres 33 draftees - Below 5518 acres 34 draftees - Below 5689 acres 35 draftees - Below 5860 acres 36 draftees - Below 6030 acres 37 draftees - Below 6200 acres 38 draftees - Below 6369 acres 39 draftees - Below 6538 acres 40 draftees - Below 6707 acres 41 draftees - Below 6876 acres 42 draftees - Below 7044 acres 43 draftees - Below 7212 acres 44 draftees - Below 7380 acres 45 draftees - Below 7547 acres 46 draftees - Below 7714 acres 47 draftees - Below 7881 acres 48 draftees - Below 8047 acres 49 draftees - Below 8214 acres 50 draftees - Below 8381 acres 51 draftees - Below 8546 acres 52 draftees - Below 8711 acres 53 draftees - Below 8877 acres 54 draftees - Below 9042 acres 55 draftees - Below 9207 acres 56 draftees - Below 9371 acres 57 draftees - Below 9536 acres 58 draftees - Below 9700 acres 59 draftees - Below 9864 acres 60 draftees - Below 10028 acres This of course gets modified by Explorer's Intuition: -1 draftee per acre explore cost (minimum 3) (from aldaris) |

replied on: 6/9/2003 8:38:12 AM The qualifier on Explorer's Intuition seems rather silly to me. You don't get your first advance until 750 built acres, which means you have at least 750 acres total, which means your draftee cost for exploring is already 7 draftees. Makes me wonder if Ross is thinking of doing something that would make it cheaper to explore in the future? |

replied on: 6/9/2003 2:59:27 PM Well, you keep advances even if you go below the 750 built acre requirement once you've gotten it, so I suppose it is possible to get to 750, take that advance, and then be beaten to a pulp and drop below 300 acres. Though I admit highly unlikely. -Regis |

replied on: 6/11/2003 2:35:20 PM Its quite simple,Ross fear somebody might abuse it.Here is how it goes, you took the Explorer Intuition tech at 750 acres ,then you accidentally ask to raze down to say 100-200 acres where draftee needed to explore per acre is around 1-2.Someone tend to abuse it awhile ago,he stockpilled huge ammount of plat and draftee and then boost himself up ahead of others and hide in EG range. So imagine if the tech didnt capped the minimum draftess...voila another loophole re-emerges |
