    Halfling spec vs. elite defense

I don't think that it matters if you hold a 3 spa or not. If you plan to continue attacking, your main objective isn't your spa, but it's your overall defense.

A 2:1 might be ok, but I'd probably go with a 1:2 ratio, since your only hope for a solid defense is running MT's. 1 being Staff Masters, 2 being MT's. It doesn't matter if you have an spa of 2, 3, or a 4 even. A ratio of 1:2 could work out, because if you continue to attack, and use an spa of 1, you'd have your MT's for spy defense, and your overall defense, and enough space left over for a decent offense. If you stick with an spa of 1, you'll have to be very selectful when it comes to you choosing a target, so you don't have to worry much about ops being returned on you after you hit. (Look for a target with weak spies/low spa.)

The problem that I can see with this though, is I don't know your current strat, and I'm not sure if this is feasable. It depends on what you've got, and if you'd be safe to convert.

You might consider a 1:1:1 ratio, lol. Defenders, Staff Masters, and MT's. Maybe?

I hope I made some since here. I took some painkillers, and I'm not sure if I was able to spit out what I was actually trying to say. hehe
