    anyway ive been looking at the efficiency calc last few days messing around with builds for 2k acres.

    nothing really stands out.

    my best effic is 26-27 hours on plat with a combination of alch/DM/smithy and maybe some shrines. i forget. ill prolly jsut end up keepign the right rax % and then building on whatever land comes in.

    still gotta look at it some.

    Just remember that the method for guesstimating DM's is flawed. It is the best way I could think of to compare different percentages of diamond mines. You're mileage may vary.

    yea the barracks are a must. the whole improvements change makes ya wonder about the DMs.

    i was having DMs compete almost neck and neck with smithies on tim's sheet last nite when i was testing some early acreages out (1500 and 2000).

    dont invest in irrigation btw. i came to that conclusion pretty fast.

    That is fair enough.. I have quite a lot of experience in this game, but not with Merfolk and not since round 13.

    But barracks and DM's seems the only reasonable way to go after OOP... If not, your/my pop would fall behind, and after a few days we would fall behind...

    i havent gotten that far ahead yet. atm im thinking of letting them jsut sit there and using the incoming land to build to a small number of DMs, barracks, and soemthing else.

    im still workgin with tims calculator to find wut the best build to go for is.

    this is only my 2nd round. s oremember to take everything i say with a grain of salt.

    i got a lot of help on the sim tho by posting it around and getting feedback from good players tho.

    ill get back to ya in a day or 2 with wut i find after more intensive research with tim's spreadsheet

    It's dependant on your military build ofcourse, but smithies are more efficient OOP than alchs if you go high elites. Are you planning on razing some of your alchs for barracks OOP?
