Homes and Other Building Questions.

Hey man,

there are a bunch of things to say, but with that kind of effort you wont have a problem getting people to hlep you out.

ill start with the few things that are obvious to me, and the other guys will pitch in later.

"day 1 is exploring and building.
day 2 is exploring and building.
day 3 is building and army building..
is this right or am i too far behind on army building to be a attacker doing this ?

this is right. youre elite troops (#s 3 and 4) take 12 hrs to build, and your specs 9 (#s 1 and 2) (shaman = spec, orc = elite). So the ideal is you train your elites with 12 hours left and your specs with 9. then u come oop (out ot protection) with your army rdy.

2nd, its obvious you understand the concept of homes/barracks and employment and thats good.

things are a little different in protection tho. You're gonna start with far fewer peasants than your max population possible ot your max employment, and youll end up spending the first ~55 hours with your peasant population growing. since homes/rax offer no benefit other than raising your max population, its not customary to build these until Day 3 at the earliest. at 250 you should be concerned with more important buildings like alchemies.

you can look at the race pages and get an idea of wuts typical to coem out of protection with.

avg tho id say 500 land for attkers and 600+ maybe for explorers (ill be corrected if im wrong). an attker oop will have around 6k max OP (offenseive power) and 3k DP(def power). explorers come out with more land and DP, and generally little or no OP. so youll hafta rethink how many of each troop you have.

Guard towers and Gryphone nests (GTs and GNs) are calced as follows:

10% of your land in GTs -> 10% * 1.5 = 15% bonus

if your unmodded DP equals 1000 say then:

1000*1.15 = 1150 modded DP
if u also have 5% walls in your castle then:
modded DP = 1000*1.2 = 1200

finally, from wut i understand gobbos are a trixxy race, so you may want to start ur first round with an easier run. im sure the rest of the guys will recommend.
