But now he may find out who's responsible and counterattack. If anyone can do some raids of sabotage runs on him, I'd welcome the assistance. Here's what I know about him so far, with the weapons I've destroyed scratched off: ![]() Good luck, et cetera. - Sahandrian" |

replied on: 10/6/2004 6:52:33 AM One of these allies frowns at this new note. His comments to the others who may also be reading the message has an annoyed tone to it. "This may be a little...outdated. One of my, people, couldn't get in to even take a look, though his ability to return is a good sign. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go fortify my territory..." With that, he returned to his tent, writing orders to be sent to his own soilders. |

replied on: 10/6/2004 8:37:32 AM A while later, a sentry appears at Kayrune's tent, dropping off a message from one of the other commanders: "I've gotten word from over there that your spies can't even get into this fellow's armory to check his status. Are you actually falling behind me, now? Last time I was depending on your spies for all the tough missions, and now you can't even manage recon? By the way, 8 out of 10 sets of chainmail destroyed. He's purchased a set of fire arrows, five new steel bows, two cloaks, and a dragonskin. He's also made a token attempt at providing his sentries with candles, but I doubt that will affect me much. I'll send someone around to update my signs later. Better luck next time. - Sahandrian" At the bottom of the letter is a childish drawing of a smiling elf face sticking it's tongue out at you. |

replied on: 10/6/2004 7:55:25 PM The woman growls lightly under her breath, passing by a sign-marked tree. It's not so much the situation in general as the soldier following her.. "I SUGGEST YOU QUIT UNLESS YOU WANT TO BECOME AN AMPUTEE." ..and that probably attracted just about anyone's attention.. She glanced down at the parchment in her hands before rolling it up and tying it, handing it to the now-fearful soldier. Said soldier eventually wound up before Sahandrian's tent. "...." He was still shaking a little from his commander's previous shouting. "S-sir." He held out the scroll-like message. It read, in frighteningly neat calligraphy- "Hopefully, things will go right at some point, though they have been taking interesting turns. Then again, with people preferring to daydream instead of listen, I'm afraid I just might go hoarse. Hm. This sounds more like idle chatter rather than something of importance doesn't it? ..and so this idiot makes me lose track of what I was going to say. Although, I would like to speak with you at some point later today, however, without the presence of sentries. -Yue Bailong" The soldier waits, nervously, for either Sahandrian's move to respond to the letter or to dismiss him. |

replied on: 10/6/2004 11:27:33 PM Sahandrian read the note, then leaned back in his chair with his feet up on a table. He rolled the note into a thin tube and twirled it between his fingers for a second, staring off across the camp. He spoke to the soldier without looking up at him. "Tell her to come down here in a few hours, around noon, and I'll talk to her. I shouldn't be doing anything other than waiting on news of our defensive work." San waves the soldier off and goes back to twirling the paper around. |

replied on: 10/6/2004 11:55:44 PM The soldier scurried back to the woman who'd sent him, carrying with him the verbal response. Relaying it to her, he waited for a moment before she waved him off. She wandered around a bit, straying a slight distance, but remaining within shouting range. Placing a hand on the trunk of a tree, she took to one of the lower branches, leaning against the trunk, her legs dangling over the sides of the branch. She remained there, mentally going over different offensive strategies, occasionally glancing down to the ornate scabbard that hung at her hip. Dropping down as the sun reached it's daily peak, she started back towards the camp, keeping in mind the scheduled meeting with Sahandrian. |

replied on: 10/7/2004 1:08:22 PM Kayrune emerges from his tent with a somewhat grim expression, two sentries following him. "I want these in their hands right away." is all he said as he handed them each a small message tube before dismissing them. They both salute before hurrying off to deliver their parcel to the other commanders, Sehandrean and Yue Bailong. Both of the mesages reading: "it seems no_use has seen his futility with his covert operations. Now I am intercepting spies from his superior, infamos. While we are on par with eachother in security means, I do suggest you continue on your security. It seems we've encountered another small group that actually has a bit of loyalty with eachother. - Kayrune" (I wrote this in a bit of a hurry, within the 5 minutes I had for break :P) |

replied on: 10/7/2004 9:12:30 PM Yue Bailong took the note in her hands and nodded at the messanger, folding it and tucking it away behind her breastplate, continuing on her way. She tapped the tent flaps, causing them to flutter before entering. "Sahandrian." |

replied on: 10/11/2004 3:38:01 PM Nei yawned, as she perched herself in a tree. Her sensitive ears twitched at almost any sound. The elf was grinning to herself as she was still amused by the encounters earlier that day. She went over her plans in her head, as well as any improvements she believed she had to make. A soldier approached her, puzzled he asked the elf sarcastically: "Shouldn't you at least meet with your commander once in a while?" Neikana grined. "If they need me, I'm sure they can find me." And with that, she hopped from the tree, placing her hand lazily behind her head and began to walk away aimlessly. |

replied on: 10/15/2004 9:38:24 AM Bailong smirked somewhat as she entered. She knelt on the ground, hands in her lap. "In times like these, that can be a greater blessing than a victory.. but then there's the matter of keeping it safe." She shook her head before placing both hands on the ground and bending forward at the waist, head down. "I apologize for drawing you away from here to come to my rescue. There is no excuse for being ill prepared and ill equipped.." She remained in her bow, not straightening until he said something. |

replied on: 11/1/2004 6:04:21 PM Sahandrian just smiles at her typically proper behavior. "Why on the floor? There's nothing to feel sorry about. It's my duty as commander to aid my officers. None of us are exactly fielding the most powerful forces out here, so we can't be expected to win all the time unless we only attack inferior forces. And between those two issues, it would actually be a failing on my part if I didn't come to your aid. I'd even give Kayrune backup if he ever asked." |

replied on: 11/1/2004 6:40:10 PM She sat up, remaining on her knees, head bowed. "If that is how you view it..." Uncertainty settled in in the pit of her stomach. But then, was it really just that? She shook her head, trying to clear away any stray thoughts. Raising her head to hold a level gaze with him--something she knew she would have been struck for had she been in her own culture--she noticed his expression. "What do you find so amusing?" She arched a brow, relaxing somewhat out of her formality. |
