Would they have wanted the Caps to give them a few goals in the third period for free just so that they wouldn't get sad? This is the NHL! Not a kids hockey league. That Jagr rested in the third period should have been more than enough comfort from the Caps. |

replied on: 1/15/2003 12:17:31 PM LOL they're just upset by getting slapped around the ice like that. loosing with 12-2 isn't easy to take. it's just frustration. and you can't blame them for venting it... i mean, it's horrible to loose with such large numbers! |

First of all, the Panthers should have looked at themselves and wondered how things could have turned out the way the did. That it's not funny to lose with big numbers, is true, but if you do so you have only got yourself to blame. I suppose they were mostly upset with the fact that Bondra scored twice in the third period, even if he could have rested. |

You can't blame the Caps for scoring -- they weren't going to lay down and die for the Panthers! Who knows -- even if the Caps best players had not played in the third period, the others might have still scored -- it was just that kind of game. |
