I ordered the Pietenpol kit. $250 shipped to my door. Came with plans (5 sheets), struts, wheels, pre-welded tail wheel for steering, drive hardware (even the prop turns), decals and sheet aluminum. I provide the 3/8ths plywood and paint. I'll take pics as I build and provide a "build along" thread. Hoping to have the thing built by Christmas.

The first picture is all the hardware, a package of decals and a package of full-size plans and complete instructions. The second is a close up of the prop "hub" and blades and other assorted small parts. The last is a close up of the pre-drilled sheet metal.

Cut fuse sides and drilled holes and cut daddos for firewall and seat back. I also cut most of the 3/4 pine blocks for the engine. I also included a couple of pics of the patterns from the plans, to show the detail of instruction. This is besides what is gone over very well in the instruction book.

I have been trying to recover from a bad back the last few weeks. I'm hoping to get back to working on it in the next week or so and more pics to follow. Looks like it will have to be for the grandkids birthday in February though....I just don't think I can make it by Christmas.
