Question about carry-on sized lugguage.

The maximum carry-on size bag is actually quite big, here is a picture of mine (it's a discontinued 54L (?) MEC bag with detachable day pack):


When I head OUT for a trip, I usually take it as a carry on. It's usually half full on the outward part of the trip (Anything more than that I would probably have problem carrying it around for duration of a trip). I like having the option of carry-on or checked bag on return.

As lost sheep already mentioned, it's a pain to wait for checked luggage, especially if you have a tight connection, and have to wait for the bag to go through customs.

I used this same bag for weekend trip, and trips of 6 weeks.
