| peakyblinder old hand Rank: Chinny | Ozzy Osbourne posted on: 8/17/2003 9:31:15 PM I think somebody may already have asked this question, but I'm still none the wiser. As I'm sure most of you will know, Ozzy Osbourne is due to be given the freedom of the city of Birmingham. Can anyone tell me what exactly this means? Does this mean that he, his wife and his offspring will have the freedom to visit Brum and steal from us, beat us up and rape us with complete impunity? I think we should be given some kind of three minute warning if this is the case. An Ozzy siren or something. And if Ozzy is going to be given the freedom of Brum, does this mean that the rest of us are in some way confined or restricted? Does 'freedom' in this sense really mean that he is free to leave and never come back (as he has done)? Wouldn't it be better to give the freedom of the city to somebody who would have the ability to take advantage of it by actually bloody living here in the first place. I despair, I really do. No wonder the rest of the country thinks Brum is shit. I think it is sometimes. |
