Does anyone watch Time Team on Discovery Channel? There's an archeologist on there, his name slips me for the moment, who is really cuddly and wears hippy jumpers and is very clever. He is definitely a good role model for Birmingham because he's the cleverest bloke on there, even though he's surrounded by anoraks and university wallers, and he has a genuine Brummie accent, not a put on one. What's his name?

I know what it is...it's Mick Aston isn't it? And he's a professor! Surely someone else must know who I mean? He digs trenches in people's back gardens and finds Roman forts and medieval houses in places most of us would just find broken bottles and rusty coke cans. He really is great. I'd bed him anyway. My perfect man, Mick Aston's brain and Gary Newbon's body. And on that note I'm off for an excavation of my own, under the continental duvet.
