replied on: 12/12/2003 9:17:12 PM Yes but without John Cale there would have been no point to turning Reed's drug induced mumblings into music. |

replied on: 12/12/2003 9:27:59 PM And I have to say VU's heartless patronisation of the extremely talented Nico, turning her into some kind of a bubblegum wannabe, was unforgiveable. Corporate almost. Ooh, I'm so tough with my heroin chic. La la la. Who's got the bigger drug problem then Louie? Well one of them's still alive so I guess it's not him. God. If anything happens to Lou Reed now, or ever, I'm going to hate myself. Mind you that song about the fella in the box, I pissed myself the first time I heard it. That is not the usual way I respond to news of a death. I'm nota mentalist, you know. Drink to be drunk, I think not, drink to lose the ability to stay in control more like it. I swore I'd never post while inebriated again. I am truly a failure. BTW, is there love in the air around these parts, as I've grown quite fond of LL, despite the B-LOSE connection (we all make mistakes) and I'm still a little suspicious of DTBD. Seems to have quite a temper. Have I reached 500 yet? |

replied on: 12/13/2003 12:01:41 AM If you have hit 500 congratulations, If not keep trying. You were missed at the BiNS piss up tonight. I saw Cale and Niko at Hyde Park many years ago and they blew my mind away. Admit my mind was in a fragile state due to the acid my mate Tony the Wop had nicked from a cockney twat that had been annoying us all night. Nico met a sad death, after kicking smack she decided to get healthy and rode her push bike around the coast of England. All was well untill she met a tricky bit and fell over the edge. |

replied on: 12/15/2003 9:42:12 AM I like Lou Reed just for the fact that Walk on the Wild Side charted despite the reference to blow jobs. Nice. Racheymaus, Thank you for growing fond of me, I won't let you down, despite my Blues connection. All I can say is family tradition says I have to go, it's in my blood...etc etc. And no love isn't in the air, I'm married with 14 children, not all from the same father, but you know these men, they just bugger off when the going gets tough. |
