This is a supremely bizzare work, often (wrongly) thought to be the first Russian 'Pizza' novel. No pig heads; no pork of any kind. (No sausages.)Just people disappearing under trams.  |

I've never actually read any Bataille, but I was always amused by the fact that I used to have an English teacher named George Battle. I kept trying to think of a way to work 'Story Of The Eye' into everyday conversation to see if he cottoned on. Didn't manage it. |
