| gerrout my shed | The mad old bloke down the blues posted on: 12/8/2003 1:30:32 AM He used to sit in the main stand. Well he sat until kick off. As soon as the whistle went he would launch himself down the aisle in a frenzy of gesticulations and red faced rantings whenever something as vital as errrr a throw in or a goal kick happened. He's probably dead and buried now if they managed to get him in the coffin |

replied on: 12/8/2003 10:35:07 AM I remember him, I couldn't work out whether he was bonkers, pissed or just passionate about his football. Having the benefit of experience now, I feel it was all three. |

replied on: 12/9/2003 11:33:01 PM can anybody remember the deaf guy from block 11 in the tilton as i've not heard him this season.I was curious as to whether he still goes to the home games as normally you can hear him and i know he took some stick off other fans last season. |

replied on: 12/10/2003 10:06:42 AM The last time I heard him (I say heard, as I don't think I actually ever saw who the voice belonged to), was last season. Haven't seen him at all unfortunately. See what I mean on the previous posting about the characters having been forced out since our return to the top flight? It's just not cricket. |

replied on: 12/10/2003 4:52:40 PM your right it's lost alot since the club went money mad and stiffed the fans for every penny they can screw out of us.No wonder so many people can't afford to go.If you go away at least you tend to see more of the old brigade and its more of a laugh as it seems to be more of an effort going to home games this season. |

replied on: 12/10/2003 5:10:45 PM It has been a chore going to away games too, especially when they move kick off times to stupid o'clock like they have done with the Leicester game this week. This means that I have to watch what I drink so I don't have to bad a hangover. That's just not right on a Friday. Mind you, what with the BINS meeting, I think I'd better have my wits about me as you never know who you might meet. They're one about chopping people up and leaving bits in bin bags on another thread. I don't mind admitting that I'm a tad apprehensive about it all. |

replied on: 12/10/2003 11:56:53 PM Good job I mentioned it. It's now 12 o'clock KO and if you're going by train that departs from New Street at 8.55, it will contain myself with a stinking hangover no doubt. |

replied on: 12/11/2003 2:01:15 PM Sounds good. Although do I have to announce "my name is liquorlicence and I'm an alcohol" when I walk in? I don't mind, as I'm guilty on both counts. We're going to a pub by the name of The Charles Napier, which is on Glenfield Road. |
