replied on: 12/19/2003 10:13:33 AM It's been a few years since I had a night time drink in Harborne, so can't comment on the nightlife, however had lunch in a pub in the 'borne during the summer and although the service was slow I have to say they were the most delicious onion rings I have ever tasted, homemade (pubmade) they were, truly oniony, crisp, delicious, golden, awe inspiring. Ergo: Harborne pubs good. Sadly I don't remember which establishment it was. Something of a once in a lifetime experience. |

replied on: 12/19/2003 12:32:11 PM I must say the onion rings in the Digby in Water Orton are pretty tasty. I obviously can't compare them to the truly crispy ones you had in Harborne, not having tried them. |

replied on: 12/19/2003 3:36:24 PM I always have a stock of onion rings in the freezer. If I miss out on a curry for one reason or another, I can throw them in the oven when I get home and hey presto and lovely onion flavoured snack. Handy for when you're pissed and unable to do much else. |

replied on: 12/19/2003 3:40:24 PM Unless people are psychic, like your good self, I'm unsure how they will possibly know that my freezer is stocked with onion rings. I'm sure I'd pull more frequently when I'm out if this was common knowledge. |

replied on: 12/22/2003 3:45:12 PM That's just like saying Shaggy was at it with Scooby Doo, or even worse Scrappy Doo. Fred and Daphne were always at it though. Mucky buggers. |
