replied on: 1/8/2004 11:50:18 AM i agree, most people are not into footbal and seeing as this isn't a football forum i think the football related posts should be kept to a minimum. most posts start off normal but are soon turned into some kind of football related nonesense. find something else to talk about! football isnt that interesting. |

In the summer I went to Goodwood in Sussex to watch some historic motor racing. In one event, various celebrities were racing, including someone who I thought I heard the tannoy announce as being ex-Villa manager "Ron Atkinson". He was in an 8 litre 1967 Ford Falcon (I can somehow see Ron driving an American car, it's sooo him) and really going for it, sideways round all the corners and nudging bumpers with his competitors. Obviously I was disappointed that I couldn't see any gold sovereign rings over his string backs, no gold bracelets, no sheepskin coat and no cigar being puffed behind the wheel. Imagine my further disappointment, when at the end of the race, out stepped Mr Bean himself, Rowan Atkinson. GGRRR! |

After being beaten around the head with a pillow I became aware I had misheard this snippet of movie trivia. I think Big Ron would make an excellent dark lord, and consequently feel a little depressed that Mr Bean is the root of all evil.
