Michael (Mikhail) Pennington Mystery - Help! Has anyone come across a Michael Pennington or Mikhail posting on a Russian forum? I was emailed this link by a friend who says that the story was posted here but when I run a search I cant find it. A guy called Michael Pennington from Birmingham in England made certain claims that he was a ghost and that he was murdered in 1971. He communicates on message forums and appears on a lot of sites where people refer to this mysterious character. He has posted under the name of George Rowling but I am sure that this is a Russian story too. In essence this character tells us what it is like to be a spirit and realistically explains his mission here on earth which involves extensive contact with the supernatural and paranormal. The whole thing is one big mystery that has attracted thousands of readers before the original postings were shut down by the site administrators. This person tells us of a global shutdown of our electrical supply like we saw in UK and the USA and Canada but it will also happen in Russia and everywhere else too. Computers will spring to life and a message will appear that no world leaders can afford to ignore. The postings deal with UFO and Alien abductions as well as an inside account as to life in the spirit world. Apparantly alien spirits are in contact with spirits from our world and there is reference to an 11th plain and other dimensions. The whole thing is incredible and a mystery. Has anyone seen this elsewhere? Probably just coincidence, and Vegas is from St. Helens, not Brum. Can anyone check police records to see if there was such a murder in 1971? It might have made the Evening Mail. Like you say, it sounds like a hoax.

The original one is ours! It is a Birmingham story and its just been copied by others thats all. I was following this on the original forums and it was quite a hoot but a lot of people took it very seriously. Its banded around on quite a few forums and been on Russian, German, USA, Netherlands countries posts but it all takes the same theme with a similar mission and meaning. I would have thought Johnny Vegas would have promoted Manchester rather than Birmingham. There is an actor called Michael Pennington with links to Birmingham theatre. Theres a site at http://www.michaelpennington.co.uk and plenty of others. The Americans seem to think that hes from Alabama in Birmingham but then they probably wouldnt even know it gets its name from Birmingham in the UK.

He's not from Manchester, he's from St. Helens, so why would he want to promote Manchester? Also, if you're wondering who Michael Allred is, he is a comic artist who designed 'Bluntman and Chronic' for Kevin Smith.

One person, many names but only one IP.
