(I hope I've got her name right.) She's the Asian news reader on Central with one of the most incredibly nasal voices I've ever heard. Why doesn't someone give the poor girl a tissue?

Sorry, I meant to add that how the hell she got a job reading the news is beyond me. But good on her - there's hope for all us nasal Asian bints yet.

Does anyone know if I spelled her name right? Does anyone care?

Nor do they about the journo on BBC Brekky News call Yvonne N'degi. Yvonne is a lovely person but only seems to get given rather lightweight stories to cover, i.e. a goat has escaped in Coleshill, royalty, etc. She also suffers from a terrible lisp.

Her reports on royalty are legendary. I recall, "Thophie, Counteth of Wethex hath been ruthed to hothpital after thuffering a mithcarriage"

A cracker!

An adenoidectomy and drainage of frontal sinuses might be more appropriate.

I used to think her name was "Artie."

Has anyone else noticed or is it just me? She doesn't appear to have graced our screens for quite some time, but I spotted her yesterday morning. Her adenoidal nasality has audibly decreased in irritatingness. Does that make any sense? Do I have too much time on my hands? Who cares?

i don't think anyone watches Central News. I might make a special effort to check out the nasal-tones tho', purely in a spirit of scientific research.
