replied on: 5/10/2007 2:18:58 PM quote: Indeed I hear that Chaz has been before the Crown Court recently and was found not guilty. His solicitor was born, so she said, on the 23rd. The proceedings imitated uncanilly events in 'Landor's Tower'. He was also hauled in at about the same time last year on a burglary charge of which eventually no evidence was produced. He then found that Sherlock Holmes story called 'The Second Stain' where a person was hauled in and no evidence could be found against him. He had the same name as....... |

replied on: 5/10/2007 5:34:08 PM Talking of 23, (aren't we always?) I had a "23 moment" recently in the caribbean during the recent cricket world cup. I spent several matches drinking heavily with an ex-England batsman called Robin Smith. At a random moment he asked me what I knew anything about famous 23's. Well you could have knocked me down with one of Monty's googlies! Turns out that when he retired from the game a couple of years ago he was presented with a bat signed by three famous 23's (a cricket bat that is, not a pipistrel). Anyone want to hazzard a guess who these three sportsmen are who use the number 23? |

replied on: 5/11/2007 9:51:46 AM quote:quote: Yes, I attended the trial myself, and most entertaining it was too. At times it verged on the surreal - what with Charlie defending himself via quotes from Marcel Duchamp and John Lennon, and references to performance art, synchronicity and "the floating signifier" - but thankfully the judge did an admirable job of making some kind of sense of it all in his summing-up, and the jury was able to reach the right verdict. Hooray for British justice! |

replied on: 5/11/2007 3:17:54 PM quote: Indeed it was a performance and it continues. The judge on Chaz's behalf made a 'Lucas direction' which pertains to something he said in the police interview. Another synchronicity since 'Eduardo Lucas' is the name of the baddie in the Sherlock Holmes story 'The Second Stain'. Lucas is suspected of a crime but becomes the murder victim himself i.e. as in the Lucas direction evidence of 'bad' character is not to imply guilt. Iain Sinclair believes that these are occult resonances or to be more scientific morphic resonance and it indeed continues further. I did some internet research on the 'Lucas direction' and came up with the following: http://www.kevinboone.com/lawglos_LucasDirection.html And it was modified on Feb.23 2006 !! |

replied on: 5/17/2007 3:33:22 PM SN1987A was a supernova in the outskirts of Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a nearby dwarf galaxy. It occurred . It occurred approximately 51.4 kiloparsecs from Earth , close enough that it was visible to the naked eye. It could be seen from the Southern Hemisphere and from the Northern Hemisphere south of 20N latitude. It was the closest observed supernova since SN 1604, which occurred in the Milky Way itself. The light from the supernova reached Earth on February 23, 1987. As the first supernova discovered in 1987, it was labeled "1987A". Its brightness peaked in May with an apparent magnitude of about 3 and slowly declined in the following months. It was the first opportunity for modern astronomers to see a supernova up close. Approximately three hours before the visible light from SN1987A reached the earth a burst of neutrinos was observed at three separate neutrino observatories. . It is widely thought that this is due to the neutrino emission preceding the emission of visible light rather than the neutrinos travelling faster than light. At 7:35am Universal time, Kamiokande II detected 11 neutrinos, IMB 8 neutrinos and Baksan 5 neutrinos, in a burst lasting less than 13 seconds. Although the actual neutrino count was only 24, it was a significant rise from the previously-observed background level. This was the first time neutrinos emitted from a supernova had been observed directly, and the observations were consistent with theoretical supernova models in which 99% of the energy of the collapse is radiated away in neutrinos. The observations are also consistent with the models' estimates of a total neutrino count of 10 to the 58 with a total energy of 10 to the 46 joules. One highly significant result was obtained from the data regarding gravity. It appeared that the neutrinos and antineutrinos both took the same amount of time to arrive at earth, about 168,000 years. The difference in their arrival times was less than 12 seconds. This was the first empirical evidence that matter, antimatter, and photons all react similarly to gravity, which had been widely predicted by standard theories of gravity but had not been previously shown from direct empirical data. Of course It was Wolfgang Pauli who first posited the existence of the neutrino. The man who worked on synchronicity with C.G. Jung. These significant 'firsts' had to arrive on the 23rd of the month to coincide with each other. And of course 20 yrs before the release of the Jim Carrey film. Now that I'm getting into the swing of this I could list other significant 23s in science. This must be the mathematics of the singularity where 1+1 makes 3!! A type of geometry as well. |
