Primary : Victor can take on the form of any gas of which he knows the chemical composition. His body becomes intangible, every molecule of his form shifting to that of the gas that he is copying. In this form he is extremely malleable, and has a limited degree of flight. He can squeeze himself through almost any tight space imaginable. Simpler gases, like pure oxygen, hydrogen, or helium, are simpler to maintain, and can be held for long periods of time without strain. More complex gases require more concentration, and therefore cause a strain if that form is maintained for extended periods. Because of the volatile nature of many gases, Victor is very vulnerable to fire in certain gaseous states. If exposed to open flame, he will combust, immediately revert to his solid state, and be seriously injured.

Victor's clothing and other items he is carrying shift along with him. He can force an amount of mass no greater than 25 lbs. to shift along with him, as well.

Secondary : Due to the nature of his primary mutation, Victor's respiratory system is immune to the effects of airborne agents.

Psychological Profile : Cynical and cunning, Victor presents an air of snide aloofness to his fellow man. He maintains a certain amount of emotional distance from others, preferring to keep himself walled off from others. Though his attitude is rarely vicious, he has been known to act with cruel disregard for the feelings of others.

Description : Victor is a tall, lanky man with sharp features and a piercing blue stare. He dresses neatly, eschewing standard youthwear for a button up shirt, neatly pressed slacks, and expensive black dress shoes. He is rarely, if ever, seen while not wearing a black fedora atop his somewhat wild and unkempt blond hair.

Biography : Victor is the son of Frederick Templeton, a wealthy tobacco lobbyist from North Carolina. He was never allowed to enjoy the fruits of his father's wealth, however, as his birth was a black mark against the man's reputation.

Victor's mother was Maria L'Angelle, a prostitute in Savannah, Georgia. Templeton had become a client of hers after many business trips across the Southeast US. When he learned that Maria was pregnant, he cut off all ties, paying her a handsome sum to keep the news away from the press.

Because of his lineage, Victor has two half-brothers, Cedric L'Angelle and Desmond Templeton. He does not speak of either, even when pressed on the issue.

Victor was always a smart child, but growing up with the knowledge that his father didn't want him left him embittered and cold. He left home after graduating high school, and began drifting across America in search of his fortune. Along the way, he put himself through college, earning a bachelor's degree in science, along with an intensely keen eye for the subtle art of the con game. Through his travels, he became very accomplished in the business of tricking the less intelligent out of their worldly goods, or into doing his dirty work for him.

He eventually made his way to Las Vegas, where he became a Blackjack dealer at a large casino. There, he learned from the best in the business, picking up new skills on an almost daily basis. Since, he has become an expert card player, and a formidable opponent in any battle of wits.

Throughout his travels, Victor has honed his mutation, which he had known about since early adolescence. Rather than look at his mutation as something to be feared, he looked at it as another tool to use for his own gain.

Now, he has found his way to Grayland under the pretense of earning a Master's degree. Possibly, he is there simply to lay low and avoid entanglements from a gam****debt, or a former mark that seeks retribution.

X-Tra Fact! : Victor is a highly accomplished harmonica player, and can often be heard at night playing soulful, bluesy songs in the major quad.
