Mutation/Power(s): Poison wings

Power Details: Wings - tendrils are much like jelly-fish ones, except not lethal. They are, however, painful and can stun/paralyze anybody who touches them...it lasts several minutes to several hours, depending on the person's metabolism.

Psychological Profile: Deep down, she really does have a kind and good heart. But having been mistreated so much, she built up emotional walls, and acts more aloof and cynical.

Description: Her black hair, with some maroon hilights, is worn lose and in large curls. She usually wears T-shirts of white, with black skirts (mini, mostly) and a black knitted shawl in cooler weather. (differs from the picture, obviously...that's her party outfit!)

Biography: She was an unplanned child. Her mother had the decency to keep and raise her, though with not much effort. Having never really given thought to a name, even though she had a good 6 months to come up with one, she decided on Ruby because of her daugher's bright red wings and eyes.
Her father was a mechanic, though ended up being destructive rather than productive at home. He beat his wife regularly, and it ended up in her death eventually. His daughter didn't escape such treatment, though survived anyway.
Her wings were burned when she was younger, in an 'accident'. At puberty, they seemed to grow a little...but only in very thin sections, which were toxic.
She hardly went to school, because of the home problems, and ran away just before her fifteenth birthday - not wanting to end up with the same fate her mother had gotten. Living on the streets for a while, she came to the knowledge of the 'gifted' academy by rumor, and decided to investigate. Maybe now she could get a decent education, even if she took after her father in the talent of tinkering. But having a degree in something couldn't hurt...right?

X-tra Fact: She can fix cars, toasters, radios, etc...but is extremely ignorant when it comes to computers and running them.
