Ability to control, grow and communicate with plants. Timeless body (turning into a flower)

Power Details:
Rosie has the ability to grow and control plantlife. She can will any plant around her to grow at a hyperaccelerated rate and even control how it grows. The furthest her power extends is to any plantlife within ten feet of her. She does not necessarily need to touch the plant she is trying to control, but physical contact with any part of the plant makes controling it easier.

How fast she can grow a plant depends on the plant. A flower or vine will grow much quicker than a tree or shrub. She can grow a vine or flower from a seed within a few minutes, but if she were to take an acorn and try to grow an oak it would take an hour for it to barely make six feet tall.

Rosie also has the ability to communicate with plants. This is how she can control them. Along with transferring some of her own body’s energy to the plant to make it grow, she can actually speak with a plant. She can understand the subtle sounds of trees and plants and often consults with them. Trees having more wisdom and knowledge than shorter-lived flowers she’s more likely to talk to trees.

Rosie’s plant control abilities take time and are limited, for now, to her ten foot circle of control. If someone were to stay within her circle of control for a couple of minutes, she could have a vine wrap around their feet and trip them up. But with training the transfer of energy and will will make her control work faster.

Once a year Rosie essentially builds a new body by going into a kind of hibernation where her body is encased in a large flower and a week later blooms. During her hibernation Rosie has no defenses other than her flowery cocoon while her body rebuilds itself, purging any illness and repairing any damage done to her body as well as invigorating and repairing all cells in her body. This, in essence, gives her a timeless body. This part of her mutation cannot be controled and cannot be stopped as it is vital to her very existance. Her hibernation starts on a full moon and lasts for one week, usually this is around her birthday. The only other time this particular part of her mutation activates is if she has been seriously hurt, such as a life-threatening injury. Her body will go into an almost immediate hibernation and a seed pod-like cocoon will surround her, placing her in a clinically dead state for one week. In the case of a lost limb that week will regrow her limb, but she will still require therpay to regain complete use of the limb.

Psychological Profile: Rosie would perfer to be alone in a crowd. While this sounds utterly ridiculus, it’s explainable. Rosie can make friends very easily, she has a good sense of humor, and will usually try to make people laugh. And while she will talk on forever about someone else’s life, she is very shy about revealing any of her own, feeling that she has lived an overall uneventful life and no one would want to hear about it anyway. While she can, and often does, bury herself into a book and become mostly oblivious to the world around her, she enjoys being around people and is, in truth, a very easy-going person. She’s very trusting, to the point of being niaeve. She’s shy about her own life, but is very open about what she likes and doesn’t like. She can be very defensive about her beliefs, but she won’t condem another for their beliefs.

Rosie loves music and enjoys singing, though she’ll tell most anyone that she has a horrible singing voice; she actually sings rather nicely. She doesn’t much care for loud music and listens to just about anything, though she perfers easy rock, oldies, light pop and J-pop. While there are exceptions, she typically doesn’t listen to rap, hip-hop, or R&B. She can play several instruments, none exceptionally well, and enjoys learning to play new instruments. So far she can play the flute rather well (she played flute in band) the keyboard one-handedly well (most people can), the harp and bodrean she can play decently.

Rosie grew up in a household that enjoys reading, and she can’t understand why so many people don’t like to read, and will often times try to find some reason to get others to read. In addition to reading, she draws (badly with a few decent exceptions), write poems and short stories, and when in a mood she takes very good photographs. Like any writer she doesn’t let that many people read her poems or short stories, though she’s usually willing to share her photographs with others.

Rosie has a rather wide knowledge of plants and their uses. She’s rather intelligent and picks up on most things fairly quickly, though she’s best in natural science

Intrests:
Rosie has several intrests and hobbies. Including, but not limited to; Reading, writing, drawing, singing, music, gardening (of course) animal studies, photography, occult, roleplaying, and video games.

Description:
Rosie has long dark brown hair that reaches to her waist. Typically she keeps it in a ponytail to keep it out of her way, though she will also put it into pigtails. Rosie has a fairly strong build and a very light tan. Her eyes change color, offically hazel they shift oftentimes between brown, dark blue, green and gold. Typically depending on the season, or her mood. Rosie is neither skinny, nor is she fat, having a medium build, which works just fine for her. She typically wears big-legged pants, tye-dyed or other colorful tee-shirts and rarely, if ever, goes anywhere without a german camoflauge field jacket. The endless pocket in the field jacket hold just about anything she could want from cans of soda and bags of candy to writing utensils and books.

Biography:
Rosie's parents were both part of the Air Force, they divorced when she was rather young and she was raised mostly by her mother and grandmother. Though her father visits from time to time it's hard to keep up with him. When she was about ten her mutant powers began surfacing when her grandmother's garden sprouted up and bloomed when Rosie had begged the roses to bloom. She kept this ability to herself, and began to try to do other things, convince seeds to grow into flowers. Two years later her father went missing in action. In the stress that began in her delicate life she began to feel differntly about the plants on the small farm-ranch her family owned in the hills of Tennessee. She began to understand feelings from the trees, and became very intutive of dangers in the thick woods and forests surrounding their home. She would often take long walks and treks into the forest, foraging and living off of the land, if she wanted something in paticular she would grow it and eat it. While walking in the forest one week before her birthday she fell into a ravine. Her leg was broken and she had no way of getting home. When the full moon rose that night, she turned thirteen and an amazing thing happened to her. A large blue rose formed around her and she fell asleep. Neither her mother nor their neighbors found her until she came wandering back home a week and a half later, disoriented and not knowing what happened. As the years went by she slowly realized what happened and strove to find a place to 'bud' as she called it that would be safe from harm's way. Her mother began to worry and one day witnessed the dramatic change in her daughter. Always the open-minded one and with news of mutants being persacuted everywhere the family kept Rosie's powers a secret, allowing her to hone them bit by bit. When she graduated high school her mother decided to send he rto Grayland, where she could both continue her education, and work to increase her powers.

X-tra Fact: Rosie is an avid lover of mythology, anything fantasy and collects odd things like buttons, odd stones or anything that catches her eye.
