if anyone can help me proove to my boss that the freezing and melting point of water are the same, and it's 0 degrees Celcius, (32 degrees F) it would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

Tell your boss to do the experiment by measuring the temperature of ice-water. the temperature does not change when the changing of state is taking place.

measurable tempurature is called sensible heat and is measured in fahrenhite and celsius, whereas the heat of solidification/liquefication/vaporization is called latent heat and is measured in BTU's, as long as the pressure remains constant on the substance being measured, there will be no change in its tempurature throught the change of state
