The Universe - may be subject to change?
posted on: 2/8/2005 1:37:34 PM

Our whole idea of the universe is likely to limited, by our own perspective, stuck, as we are on a ball called Earth.

If I was about one millimetre tall and I was sitting on a Giant's kneecap? Would I actually be able to "see" from that perspective, that that was exactly where I was?

The idea was given me when I was a boy. I watched an ant walking through grass. How different for him, I thought, he could see these huge shards of green, which appeared almost downy to me.

I wondered if anyone else had thoughts like that? If not, know where I can get help?

This is me talking froma String Theorist's viewpoint

Have you ever thought about an ant on a piece on paper, it's world is linear and flat - more-or-less it doesn't know up and down.

And that's what it might be like for us stuck in a 3 dimension world being looked at by higher dimensional bodies. I hope you can unerstand, if not just ask

This is such interesting stuff, eh?

I see where you're headed, yes, I agree.

The ant probably experiences some dimensional existence, or being.. probably less so than us.

Partly, because of our superior intellectual powers, our powers of pan dimensional perception would probably be greater than ants.

And partly, because of their size maybe? The smaller you get, the less you see, maybe exponentially? Interesting thought....

Of course, I can't know that. I'm stretching the work "assume" here!!!
What are your thoughts?

Kind regards,

Mark Willis

It's interesting to think of the Ekpyrotic Model in this position andthinkthat we MIGHT be on a 4 dimension brane that floats in a 4 dimensional world well from that point of view we deinately have a small onlook of the world, perspectivewise.

This forum isn't very active you can take a look at myforum for quick response times (usually an hour or so) at www.s8.invisionfree.com/the_quantum_factor/ hope to see you there
