replied on: 4/26/2003 5:44:26 PM Glen quickly went from shop to shop, charming each of the attendants then getting rid of his loot for as much money as he could. After a couple hours of bartering, his bag was empty and his pockets were full. The only thing he keept was Lysannas sword. He would probably just keep it with him and use it to practice with heavier swords. After a run-threw of the city looking for Lysanna he made his way back. He even checked the fighting pits, but they were empty. A fight hasnt happened for awhile now, but he half expected to see Lysanna there fighting for her life. Before leaving, he stocked up on a lot of food and water. No more ale, he swore to himself. That only brings trouble. When Glen finally made it back to the Guard watching Guarchie for him, he paid him another 50 gold, packed his gold away in a small chest. Then rode Guarchie towards seydaneen for some help from his old pal Fargoth. (mwahahaha) |

replied on: 4/29/2003 4:21:25 PM The last niche was empty. When Lysanna approached it, she felt a tug from the slave bracelet. The niche's edges started to glow with a faint pink light. When she looked down, Lysanna saw that the bracelet was glowing softly too. The tug was getting stronger and she felt the bracelet start to prickle her skin. "In there is death..." she breathed. A coldness rose up from inside her. The bracelet's pinpricks became stronger. |

replied on: 4/30/2003 3:49:21 PM It was becoming morning again when Glen was arriving to the last turn towards the port town of Seyda Neen. The sky was starting to show light and away from the rising sun the sky was still dark and stary. One by one the stars died out and by the time he reached the beggining of town, the sun had claimed most of the sky. Glen got off Guarchie and left him at the start of near a small wooden bridge. After a few minutes of knocking on Fargoths door, it became apparent that he wasnt home. Hes never home it as of late it seems. Glen mumbled under his breath. Glen would just have to search a little in town. Arrille, a mutual friend bettween both of them, and the local store owner and inn keeper. He might be of some help. |

replied on: 4/30/2003 5:55:28 PM The slave bracelet started pulling violently as Lysanna tried to turn away from the niche. At the same moment, whisps of electricity shot out from the bracelet and Lysanna shook with pain from the electrical current shaking through her. Yet she stood fast, the pull of the slave bracelet starting to wrench the flesh of her wrist. More bolts shot out from the bracelet and the pain doubled. Lysanna screamed. She tried to resist the pulling of the bracelt, but she felt her feet slowly sliding over the sand beneath them. And in one agonizing jerk, the slave bracelet yanked her to the niche. "I won't fit! That niche is too small!" her mind screamed at her and she closed her eyes. Yet the impact against the wall did not come. Instead, she landed on a soft earthen ground and the shocks subsided... Everything looked blurred when she opened her eyes. She wiped the tears of pain away. Almost nothing. An earthen ground, no walls, with only dim light. She stood up. A *clink* sounded by her feet. Lysanna looked down to see the slave bracelet lying on the ground. Its purpose fulfilled, it had let go and fallen to the ground. Dead. She looked behind her and saw the niche, only now it wasn't the small two-feet-high niche that it used to be; it went from the ground all the way up, as high as her head. And the back wall of the niche was gone. When she looked out, she saw the hallway the wizard had thrown her in. Only it was huge. At least three times as big. Except, the hallway wasn't bigger. She had shrunk. A grating noise came from behind her and he turned around. She gasped as she saw what was coming at her. |

replied on: 5/1/2003 2:22:04 PM He walked into the genral store and saw arrille standing behind a counter directly in front of him. Arrille's eyes brightened. "GLEEEN! My most favorite customer! What can I do for you today?" Glen walked over to him and sat lightly on the counter. Nothing today, sorry friend. I already got rid of all my loot over in Vivec. Arrille looked at Glen in the eyes. "Well its not a big deal, just remeber to come see me if you find something else." Ill try to do that my friend. But right now I have to talk to you about Fargoth. *Understandable. I know where your coming from, dont fret over it* |

Adventures of Lysanna the Nord.
replied on: 5/7/2003 5:28:34 PM It was a horror that stood at least five metres tall, half of its beige-coloured serpentine body stood upright. It had a bullet-shaped head, with a great beak but apparently eyeless. Two arms protruded from where a human's shoulders would be, but they did not have hands, instead they ended in a long bony pick. It dug those arms into the ground to advance. Lysanna stood frozen, looking up at the terrible beast. Only when it had reached her, did she shake off her paralysis. The massive talon came down at her, and she dove out of the way instinctively. The shackles of paralysis fell away from her mind and it was kicked back into action. The pick-like arm smashed into the sand she had stood upon only a second ago. She rolled to the side, got back to her feet and started running, the monster coming after her. She could feel the ground shake as its arms thundered on the sand. She ran as fast as she could, her lungs burning and a painful stitch in her side screaming in protest, but eventually she noticed that she couldn't hear the monster anymore. She stopped to catch her breath. When she looked to her right she saw the niche again. When she realized what was going on, she turned her head back and stood face to face with the monster's eyeless head. |

replied on: 5/8/2003 4:36:38 PM Glen talked with Arrille about there long time buddy, Fargoth. Apparently he had been going about his way when an unknown person came out from the SeydaNeen registration office. Fargoth had simply asked for some assistance getting his family ring back from the office, but instead was brutaly assualted. My times were changing... when one cant even ask for help without being injured. Fargoth had fought back and was winning the fight when the guards came. Apparently the guards had thought Fargoth started the fight and sent him off to jail instead of the real offender. This didnt please Glen... and he was soon off on his way towards fort moonmoth to where Fargoth was being held wrongly. He had some ties with the imperials, and could probably get Fargoth out without incident. Plus he was aware they wanted to speak with him anyway. |

replied on: 5/14/2003 11:20:16 AM Time seemed to stand still for a while... And then both Lysanna and the monster acted simultaneously. The beast swung one of its talons clumsily at her, and she flung herself to the floor at exactly the same moment. She kicked upwards and struck the beast's soft underside. The monster gave an inhuman groan and doubled up. Lysanna tried to scramble backward, but the creature teetered and at last fell. Although she managed to partly dodge the falling body, the blow did knock her backward, straight into where the niche was... The combined weight of Lysanna and the creature shattered the spell which held the barrier in place. She closed her eyes as she fell through and back into the hallway. Even through the pain of the shattering barrier spell, she noticed that the monster was gone. When she hit the floor, she looked around, and there, a metre next to her, was the monster. Only, it had not grown like Lysanna had... it was only a foot tall. It must have been created in that niche, and never been outside... that must be why it doesn't have a 'true' size, Lysanna thought. The monster squeaked and squirmed on the floor. Suppressing a slight feeling of pity, Lysanna brought her iron-capped boot down on it. "And now for that wizard," she grunted. |

replied on: 5/15/2003 3:03:43 AM (Sorry for the short post that is going to happen, nothing much to say) Glen made his way past Pelagaid, through the mountains and to the fort without incident. It was late afternoon by the time he made it though. After he left Guarchie in the fort walls near the entrance he made his way into the fort. |

replied on: 5/15/2003 5:24:41 PM (if there ain't much happenin' then you can't say much my friend Lysanna unsheathed her dagger and ran for the end of the hallway, hoping the doors had been unlocked while she had been in the niche. She threw her weight against the doors and they opened. "Ha! That's a fatal mistake, cat bastard!" she commented cheerfully as she ran past the prison cells. She threw the door open where the wizard had come from the first time, when she was still in one of those cells. Behind the door was a small room with a bookcase and a desk. Behind the desk sat the wizard. He looked up with a questioning face, and slowly Lysanna saw realization dawn on his features. "You shouldn't have - how did you - " he began before Lysanna slammed her dagger into his throat, to the hilt. She felt warm blood gushing over her hand and pulled the dagger out. The wizard tried to stand but only managed a stagger, he had his tongue out of his mouth and made a pathetic gurgling sound. Lysanna brought the dagger down again, this time into his chest. She kept her eyes locked with his as he died, still wondering how this could be. |

replied on: 5/19/2003 4:30:09 PM Right, with that out of the way, back to the story, shall we? Lysanna kicked the wizard's body off the desk where he had fell onto when he died. "Out of my way, hairball," she grunted absently. She started going through the scrolls and parchments on the desk, most of them being uninteresting tractates on the various reactions of various herbs or dull litanies on the magic-holding properties of ebony or mithril. There were too many words that were simply too difficult, so she discarded them quickly. When she was about to give up, an interesting scroll caught her eye. It had arcane markings on it she couldn't understand, but she somehow knew it had to be important... a new spell maybe, or an ancient ritual. Whatever it was, it seemed important. She tucked the scroll into her bracer. She was about to leave when she saw a drawer in the bookcase. The books themselves were not so interesting to her (they were too difficult and she hated having to constantly re-read lines because she didn't understand something - it made her feel stupid), but the drawer might contain something useful. She opened it and saw two shining jewels inside... one was purple and shaped like a snow-crystal, and the other was gold, round and flat... they were unlike any gems she had ever seen. She took them and stuck them into a pouch she carried on her belt. She decided she had stayed long enough and that it was time to get out. But then something hit her... There was no exit! |

replied on: 5/19/2003 11:25:51 PM Well, whaddya know! I got some time to make a quick post! "No! You're trying to cheat me again!" the Argonian cried. Krag-Tal had just captured a well-known thief and was promptly being cheated out of his reward by the Moonmoth fort prison guard. Krag-Tal slammed his hand down on the prison guard's desk, claws scratching into the wood.(I know there's not a desk in the game, but this is fanfiction "Look," the guard said, gesturing toward a small sack on the desk, "this is all we can afford right now." "But the bounty was promised at 10,000! And you're giving me HALF that!" Krag-Tal shouted. "I know what the bounty was, but we decided that was too high," the guard retorted. Krag-Tal glowered at the guard, scratching his claws against the desk in irritation. "'We' decided? Now just who is 'we'?" Krag-Tal demanded. "Is that any of your business? Really?" the guard asked. "It's not really, no," Krag-Tal admitted, begrudgingly, "but I'm still being cheated." The guard raised an eyebrow. "Would you like to take it up with Knight Hard-Heart?" he asked, "you know how he feels about bounty hunters." "...No." "Well then, it's settled," the guard said, nodding toward the sack. Krag-Tal glared once more at the guard, then swept up the sack and stormed out of the office, cursing the guard under his breath. "This is exactly why I left the Legion...to full of politics." He quickly walked out of the fort prison, talons clicking on the cold stone floor as he went. He reached the door, and slammed it open, coming face to face with a startled Nord. "Pardon me," Krag-Tal muttered, stomping on past. The Nord stared at him, and shrugged, walking into the building. Krag-Tal stopped for a minute, and thought. Wait a minute, that Nord wasn't one of these damn Imperials, I can tell. Maybe it'd be more profitable to stick around and see what he's up to... P.S. Gamestar, I read the rules, and I hope that little bit about having "the Nord" (AKA Glen) just walk into the building didn't fall into the "don't control other characters" section too much |

replied on: 5/20/2003 12:06:39 AM (Nope, little things like that dont matter. Its when u say that you ask them a question and they answer, or they do something that they didnt say they were going to do or even hint at there going to do. In this case everyone knew I was going inside, so its no big deal if you say I was going inside. Things like that you know? If you say your going to follow me... if I move I can say your still following me. Things like that are no big deal. Its when you go beyond that and say something like, Glen wholeheartily agreed, or, Glen walked down the stairs to his right as I called out to him. Or bigger stuff... like fighting. That comes down to the GM. Ok, thats a long OOC, Ill try and do at least that in the story.) Glen looked around the bright candle litten entrance. They still need to clean the walls... Glen thought to himself as he made his way up the stairs to his left. He walked quietly up the winding stair case, and before reaching the top had to press to the side of the wall to let 2 other guards get past. I always hated the stairs... Glens focus was directed at a man sitting behind a desk with a lot of papers on it. Who are you and where is Commander Dayan? Glen questioned the young man with suspicion. "Oh, the commander is out on break right now. I, his lieutenant, am acting temporailiy in his place." Glen didnt feel like talking to this man about what the fort had wanted him for, and instead would just take care of Fargoths perdicament. Well Im here to bail out a friend of mine, Fargoth. I hear he is being held here. "Oh... the wood elf. He was brought in for charges of attacking a newcomer in Seyda Neen." Glen already knew this and didnt feel like arguing. Yes... well how much is his bail? "116 gold, he didnt seem to have enough on him so he was taken in." Glen knew this already also, the guards at Seyda Neen were always charging him "protection money". This whole incident was starting to piss him off. Fargoth was brought in on bogus charges and couldnt pay because he was always being robbed. He started calming down and forked over the gold. Ok, heres the money, can you take to his cell and let him out now? The man counted the gold for a minute. "Yes, everything seems to be in order. Ill let him out now, follow me." Glen started following the guard back down the "staircase of hell" again. |

replied on: 5/20/2003 1:22:39 AM Oh, okay, just checking. And now, for more story stuff... Krag-Tal stood outside of Fort Moonmoth for a moment, pondering his next move. Krag-Tal sighed, an odd gesture coming from an Argonian, then he remembered the Nord he had just run into. He looks like an adventurer. I'll bet the stuff he gets is worth a lot of cash. And maybe, just maybe, I can pick up a bounty or two on the way. If the Argonian could've smirked at his cleverness, he would've. He opened the door back into the well-lit interior of the Moonmoth prison tower. Slipping past some guards in conversation, he stopped in front of the stairs, listening intently and smelling the air with his powerful reptile nose. Hmm, Imperials, and... He caught the scent. ...and the Nord. Let's just follow him and see if he'd be willing to take on a partner... And one more OOC for Gamestar; It says in the rules that nobody is immortal, and deaths may happen. So, er, what about resurrections? Are those allowed, or are we doing a true/permanent death story? |

Adventures of Lysanna the Nord.
replied on: 5/20/2003 2:36:25 PM Lysanna ran her hands through her dirty hair and sighed. For the first time since their separation she found herself thinking about Glen... What would he be doing now? Did he still think about her? She wondered if he was safe. Maybe he was dead already... The thought turned out to be unexpectedly unsettling. Was it only because she felt indebted to him for saving her, or was there more? She decided not to think about it anymore and turned her attention to the present. "How do I get out of here?" she muttered to herself. She started to realize that maybe capturing the wizard would have been a better idea than killing him outright. If there was a special spell or secret to get out of here, she would be in it up to her ears... But if that was the case, thinking about it wouldn't solve anything. She had to act. Not that she had to hurry or anything, but if she kept thinking she wouldn't get any further, on the contrary... She suddenly realized something! She had forgotten to look through the possessions the wizard had on him. Maybe he had some valuables on his person when she killed him (and, she secretly hoped, something to get her out of here)... OOC: I personally hate resurrection and all those things. If a character dies, (s)he's dead. Gone. Poof. SEE YOU LATER ALLIGATOR, AFTER A WHILE CROCODILE, DON'T FORGET TO WRITE, as Blaine the mono would say (give yourself a Dreugh cookie if you know the quote). Resurrections take away a storyteller's most powerful weapon: the power over life and death. So no resurrections. It makes death a joke, which it isn't. |
