Adventures of Lysanna the Nord.

The guard soon came out of it as if he was expecting the Argonian to still be there. He looked frantically around the room. "DAMMIT! What happened? You there, Nord!" He said pointing a hand at Glen. Yes? Me? Glen asked innocently. "Wheres that Argonian that was just here?" Argonian? What Argonian? There was a Argonian? Are you positive? The guard was getting pretty angry. "YES OF COURSE THERE WAS! Where did he go!?" Well I wouldnt know. Me and my friends here were having a conversation and didnt notice any Argonian here before you showed up. Sorry about that, maybe he went through the back? "The back?" The Guard looked around the room and behind the wall hanging. "THE BACK! THERE IS NO FUGGIN BACK!" Oh... well... maybe youve had to hard of a day? Want to sit down with us and have something to eat?

The guard obviously annoyed stormed down the stairs and out of the building. Arrile turned to confront Glen. "What just happened here? Whyd you lie to that guard?" Well... the Argonian seemed to be in trouble so I helped him out. "Ahhh, so your the reason the guard was paralised?" Hehehe, yea, great huh? I just hope that Argonian got far enough away. Like hell Im fighting that walking killing machine. Sometimes I think that those guards are somehow not quite... good. They seem to have an evil air about them. The group was looking at him strangely. Or maybe not... eh... could just be that scary looking armor. They continued eating and talking about what just happened.

Krag-Tal crouched outside the tradehouse, listening for any sign of the guard. He heard someone stomping down the stairs inside, and ducked underneath the stairs. The door flew open and the guard stormed out. Damn!Krag-Tal swore silently, and crouched into the shadows as best as he could. The guard looked around a minute, and grumbled something under his breath before stomping off. Krag-Tal sighed in relief and crept out from under the stairs. Apparently, the Nord had handled the guard fine. Krag-Tal decided he should at least thank that Nord for saving his tail. He went inside and back upstairs to the tavern. Walking up to the table, he introduced himself. "Thanks for getting me out of that one, " he said, "Name's Krag-Tal, bounty hunter and, " he made an Imperial Legion salute across his chest, "former knight. I don't want to impose, but would you mind if I bought you a round? That's the best thanks I can think of."

"So this is what Seyda Neen looks like... I thought it'd be bigger. Why would Glen be heading for this measly excuse of a town?"
Lysanna took a moment to look at her surroundings. Before her lay a few houses which pathetically struggled to look like a town, and further stood what appeared to be a lighthouse. Sounds of talk and laughter emerged muffledly from what apparently had to pass for a tavern.
Something bumped her in the back of the shoulder and a guard dressed in red mean-looking armor strode by her.

"Hey! You want to watch where you're going?" Lysanna barked.
The guard didn't reply and kept marching towards the tavern. As he went in, she could hear the voices falling silent. She decided to wait and see what would happen.
An Argonian ran (at least, bounced along in that wobbling gait which was supposed to look like running) from the door and hid under the stairs. Lysanna followed the events without understanding. The guard immediately stomped out again and marched out of the village, coming towards her. Behind him, the Argonian crept back into the tavern.

"You seen an Argonian around here, Nord?" The guard asked curtly.
"Depends who's asking," Lysanna replied.
"The Mournhold Royal Guard, that's who! Have you seen one or not?!"
"Royal Guard? Eh... no, sorry, haven't seen one." Lysanna decided it would be better to investigate herself than to inform the guard. If he was a criminal, which was most likely, then she could still turn him in, but without knowing the situation, she thought it best to handle it herself. After all, even Royal Guards aren't always virtuous...
"You sure?" the guard growled menacingly.
"Yes I'm sure!" Lysanna snapped.
The guard looked at her one more time and then walked past her, bumping into her again and muttering to himself: "He will be out in the wilderness by now!"

Lysanna walked to the tavern and unsheathed her new sword. She opened the door, saw he was with his back to her, and in an instant, leveled her sword at the back of the lizard's head.
"Hey now! We'll have none of that in here!" the Innkeeper complained, trying to sound authoritative but failing.

"Get up. Who are you and why are the guards looking for you? And don't even think about lying."
The Argonian didn't reply and suddenly she saw someone coming out of a passage, still buckling his belt.

"...Glen?"

Yeees...? Who are you anyway? He looked at the woman holding up his new friend. He stood up quickly not drunk at all, for the very little he had actually drank was in moderation. Well, if you want to attack my friend you'll have to attack me as well. He was staring at the dirty adventurer keeping his weapons sheathed but waiting to strike. Then he realized who it was. ...Lysanna? Wow... what happened to you? You dont seem like youve taken a bath in a week. I thought you were a goner.

Ha, and it seems like you dont like lizards either huh? Boy... the first time I saw this guy I told him about magical places and gremlins. It was the funniest thing all week. Ain't that right Fargoth? Fargoth smiled and nodded politly while Arrile chuckled after remebering what Glen had told him. This friendly attitude left from glen as he thought for a moment and then followed with his earlier defense. Wernt you taken by some wizard cat or something? This some sort of plan to get me too? Well if it is you wont take me easily. And howd you find me anyway? Glen questioned with a tone of authority in him.

Krag-Tal turned around and stared at the young Nord woman now holding a sword at his face. "Why don't you point that somewhere else?" he growled. "I've had a rough night, and I certainly don't need any trouble from *you*. I suppose that if you absolutely have to know why they're after me, they apparently thinks I robbed and killed some damn noble. Let me tell you, I've been in trouble with the law a couple of times, but nothing like this. I had nothing to gain by doing something like that except life in prison or execution. I'm not enamored of either choice, right now." He looked to Glen, and glowered at him. "Would you stop bringing up that thing about gremlins? It wasn't that funny, really." He glared at the Nord woman. "Let me guess, you've got a problem with Argonians too?"

OOC: Bloodmoon's out, so I picked it up. I must say, it's pretty nice so far. The island is bigger than Mournhold, and the snow makes for some cool effects. Go get it if you have the chance!

OOC: she's no longer dirty; she's taken a bath in Gnisis

"Oh gee Glen, I'm happy to see you too! What the Hell are you acting like that for? I nearly got killed when that wizard captured me, and then I spent two whole days wandering around, looking for you and then when I finally find you I get this? Well, what a friend you are!!" Lysanna half-yelled.

(Hehehehe, you didnt say she took a bath didya? Mwahahahaha)

And the first thing you do when you find me is hold up my friend, which I may add , your still doing. So what am I supposed to think when you coming from nowhere and immediatly try and kill someone? Glen rebuttled with unwavering logic. But you seem to be a little testy... so maybe it'd help if you got something to eat. I'll pay for ya, so you dont have to worry about having enough.

But I'm glad you're ok, I was worried about you, but I was giving up. I thought you were a goner. So you just coming here all of a sudden like you did really surprised me. If you want to hit me go ahead though, I probably deserve it anyay. He walked over and handed her the ice sword he was keeping with him. I found this at the battle scene after you left. I was keeping it as a reminder of you and to return it if I ever met you again. But my offer is still up. Hungry? Ill pay. Wanna hit me? Go ahead.

Krag-Tal looked at the two Nords and stood up from his seat, brushing away the woman's sword. "Looks like you two have quite a bit to work out, so if you don't mind, I'll just sit back and watch," he said smugly. He walked over to Arrille and sat down on the counter. "50 gold says she hits him," Krag-Tal said.
"I'll take you on that one," Arrille said, chuckling lightly.
This should be good,Krag-Tal thought to himself. He enjoyed the fact that the Nord considered him a friend, but gambling was gambling. If she hit him, that was a little more money in his pocket. He sat back on the bar and watched the confrontation from there, keeping his hand on his sword just in case things got a little too rough.

OOC: Yes I did! Skip back a few posts!

Lysanna looked at Glen, her eyes hard. "Ah, forget it," she sighed and sat down. "What's the most expensive thing to eat here? You can buy me that."
She saw Glen starting to get up and said: "Wait a second." She got up calmly, walked over to Glen and slapped him a good one on the cheek. He rocked back and looked at her dizzily, his hand on his cheek. "There. Settled."
She sat back down and waited for Glen to come back with her food. She saw the bartender sigh and place a small purse of gold on the table, which the Argonian pocketed. She wondered what that was about.

Glen came back with her food and set her plate before her. There was steaming brown gruel on it, with the edges charred. The smell which emanated from the plate was plain horrible.
"What in Frostfire is this?" Lysanna asked, wrinkling her nose.
Glen smirked. "Broiled Mudcrab intestines. Most expensive thing they have."

(Hmmm... your right... you beat me Sigh... ok that means I must do something nice for your character)

Nah I'm just fooling, this is what I feed Guarchie, hes nuts for this stuff. Glen soon returned from the kitchen with some nice looking food, but certainly not fit for a king. The food was on a large, clear, glass plate with pictures of flowers etched into the plate. The food itself was an assortments of cooked meats, cut thinly and laid over each other and was smeared with honey sauce. Pieces of lettuce and other greenery to give it a fancy look. In the center of all the meats lay some salted juicy corn, which gave off a very fresh and buttery arouma. A nice set of silverware was also laying on the dish.

The other plate he brought looked smilar to the previous one, but on it was just a salad. The salad itself was pretty simple, with lettuce, cabage and pieces of carrot. This salad was partialy covered with a white salad dressing speckled with spices. He soon returned with a deep goblet similar to the plates filled with a sparkling red wine sweet in smell.

Well there it is, one of the most expensive things you can get here. Im not the cook or anything, but I made it a point to serve you myself. The plates are nice looking huh? Hey Arrile, remeber when I sold you the set of them? I didnt make nearly as much off them that I should. Arrile smirked. "I payed you 20 gold, that was pretty good." I bet I coulda got 10 each, your a sly one Arrile, but I know your tricks. Arrile looked up at Glen slyly. "You do eh?" Yea, aways ask for twice as much as what you offer to get a somewhat decent deal. "Hehehe, I'll have to start lowering my prices for you then."

Glen sat down near Lysanna and continued to eat his food from before, wooden plates and eating utensils that they were. It didnt matter to Glen, as long as the food wasnt on the floor, he didnt have any problems eating it. Unknown to the Argonian, Glen had swiped the money he had won from Arrile and held the bag hidden inside his sleaves. He was a master thief, and simply couldn't let the deal from his pain off that easily. A fool and their money was easily parted, and the world was full of said people. He held the money in his hand and sat it in front of him casually. Hey Lysanna... 50 gold if ya tell me of your adventures while I was looking for you.

He made a wild grin at the Argonian at the table across from him sitting with Arrile. He wasnt even sure if the Argonian figured it out yet, but in his mind, he was more than humored to say the least. Arrile seemd to be a little confused too until he noticed the sack the money was in. He chuckled to himself with a wide smile and gave the look of "That's our Glen". Arrile moved his chair closer to Lysanna and stretched out casualy a little for the long story. Fargoth also moved a little closer, but stayed near his table because his shyness in front of girls.

Lysanna grinned. "So you want to make me a story-whore now? Don't worry, you don't have to pay me with that" - she raised her voice a little - "stolen money. I don't mind telling stories, especially when they're heroic and involve me." She smiled broadly. "Fill 'em up Arrille, it's on Glen."

After being introduced to Fargoth, who was apparently extremely shy around girls - something that should have been cute, but with him was just annoying - she started to tell her story.

Krag-Tal listened to the conversation between the two Nords and laughed inwardly at the woman's -Lysanna's- comment about being made a story-whore. But then he heard the "stolen money" and looked in his pocket for his recent winnings. Wait a minute...what...it was JUST here!He glared at Glen. "Glen, you sneaky little....I know it wasn't Fargoth, I can smell a Bosmer a mile away-no offense Fargoth-, and I know Lysanna didn't do it because she stayed right there!" He grabbed his sword, but decided not to make an issue out of 50 measly gold pieces. "Bah, let it go, I don't really care anyway. If it pays for a good story from the "story-whore", then I'm up for it."

Glen listened casually to Lysanna. Sooo... you were in prison or something? You said you were in a cell.

Lysanna stretched and yawned. "So there. That's about all that happened." She downed the last of her black beer. "And I even brought some loot. Look, can you tell me what these are?"

Lysanna spread the gems, the spell book, the ring and the scroll she had found out on the table. I don't know about the scroll and the book, but those gems are sure to fetch a good sum, no? Or are they more than just gems?"

Krag-Tal watched and finished listening to the woman's story and looked at the items on the table from his seat at the bar. As soon as she laid out the strange gems, he jumped up. "Wait, I've seen those before!" he said, "Some mage showed them to me once. I think he called them soul gems or somesuch. Apparently, they're these magical stones that can hold the souls of creatures. It sounds absurd, I know, but from what I recall, he said they're pretty rare, and certain souls can fetch a very hefty price, even on the open market. Black market prices would be insane. And what's with that sword? I've seen a lot of weapons, but I've never seen anything like that. Do you even know what kind it is?"
