So there.  Howdy. My name is Andé and, as you can infer from my user name, I'm a Star Wars and handmaiden fan. Actually, I've only seen Rose as Dormé, but am interested in many of her films. Even if I hadn't been a handmaiden fan, I still think Rose would have captured my attention. While only in a few scenes, she was able to convey emotion and bring a minor character to life with a single look or smile. I think the Goodbye scene is one of the best acted in the film. Okay, about me. I'm from beautiful Southern California, home of the World Champion Lakers and World Series Champion Anaheim Angels. I'm insane enough to teach in the public school system and have the amazing power to cancel any television show I fall in love with. Oh yeah, I help to run a handmaiden site, so come and visit when you're bored. That's all you're getting out of me tonight. But I'm sure I'll have a lot to say here. Andé |

If you loved Rose as Dormé, just wait till you see her other films! She has that rare ability to appear completely different in every film, not only in looks but character also. She has real "screen prescence". Hey you are doing well to have two World Champion teams in town. My team Richmond are champions of...well nothing..(not since 1980 anyway)  But we're going OK so far this year.I just seem to fall in love with TV shows that are great in the first season, then after that...not so good (eg Dark Angel) Look forward to your future posts Everybody, I highly recommend a visit to Andé's site - it's fantastic |

replied on: 5/1/2003 6:42:30 PM Thanks for the praise on the site. I can't take much of the credit. The site is run by six of us, so much of the credit goes to them. Screen presence and true talent are rare in films these days. Looking forward to seeing more of Rose. Would apologize for all the good luck my teams are having, but I'm loving it too much. And how about those Anaheim Mighty Ducks? Dark Angel wasn't my fault! I wasn't anywhere near it!  Actually, Sliders is the only TV show I didn't manage to cancel. However, I did begin watching it in the third season, so you could probably blame the latter half of that one and the last two seasons on me. |
