Who else do you like?

Time to kick off the first non-Rose thread
Obviously, we have one thing in common - we all love Rose. But who else do we like?

It's fun to rank favourites in order (the order changes all the time though!) but my top three remain pretty constant:
1. Rose Byrne
2. Julia Stiles
3. Kate Winslet
4. Angelina Jolie
5. Reese Witherspoon
6. Nicole Kidman
7. Naomi Watts
8. Jessica Alba
9. Jennifer Garner
10. Nigella Lawson
There's lots of different things I like about each of my 10, it's not just based purely on looks alone.

As far as actors go, my faves would be Heath Ledger and Russell Crowe.

Love to know who your faves are and what you think of mine

I don't really have a "list" but if i did, our number ones would sure be the same!

Anyways, i've always (kleptomania aside)liked Winona Ryder, Natalie Portman, Virginie Ledoyen, Audrey Tautou, and to take it way back, the quintessential gamine, Audrey Hepburn. i guess in addition to our "number one," they would be my unwavering favorites. but i also like Cate Blanchett and Rachel Weisz looks really good in confidence. oh, and i've had sort of a crush on Naomi Watts since "Tank Girl."

oh and i actually met someone on your list. i paid a visit to a college friend in new york a while ago and we saw Julia Stiles on campus at Columbia. he was unemployed at the time and made some money by handing out flyers on campus and so he handed her a flyer and we talked to her for a few minutes. chatted about the stuff on the flyer and stuff like 'how's school?' she seemed nice, polite too.

ToyMachine now I am so jealous you have met Julia Stiles She really does seem down to earth and very *real* which is part of her appeal for me.
Winona was my fave back in the "Heathers, Reality Bites" days, and I still think she stole the show in "Girl,Interrupted".
I wasn't sure who Virginie Ledoyen was so I checked her out on IMDb, and yes, of course, she's Francoise from "The Beach" I notice that is the only non-French film she has made.
I still haven't seen "Amelie" , I have wanted to see it since it came out, just one of those things I haven't gotten around to yet...

What? You haven't seen Amélie? Turn off your computer and go rent it right this minute! Do you hear me?! It's one of those movies with a simple message about love and living life. Very original and Audrey is just captivating in it. She draws you into her little world. One of my favorites of the past few years.

Thinking about my list, a lot of the men on it are a lot older than when I first began admiring them.

Ewan McGregor is at the top of my list no question. I love 1980's Harrison Ford and Michael Biehn (Aliens/Terminator). A televison actor named Kyle Chandler who hasn't done anything in a while. There's something about Hugh Grant that appeals to me lately. My classic nods would go to Cary Grant, Jimmy Sterwart, William Holden, and Rock Hudson. Rick Fox of the Lakers, can I add him? He acts sometimes.

Andé , I have been a fan of Mr McGregor since Trainspotting, which I thought was absolutely brilliant (also luv the book and soundtrack). There are not many duds he has been in.

And what was Kyle Chandler in on TV? The name sounds familiar, are am I mixing it up with a character from Melrose Place?!

I must add Cameron Diaz to my list, straight into No. 5 !!! Go Cameron, Go Cameron !!

Michael, didn't watch Melrose Place, so I don't know what character you are remembering.

I fell in love with Kyle Chandler when he was on one of my favorite television shows in the early '90s. The show was called Homefront and dealt with the ramifications of the soldiers coming home at the end of WWII. It was an amazing series that only lasted two seasons. Kyle played the character of Jeff Metcalf, a younger brother who was left behind.

He was also on the show Early Edition. A cat delievered the newspaper to him a day early so he could do good deeds.

One of my friends saw him at a Dodgers game and got an autography for me...but he spelled my name wrong.
