Got to The Matrix Reloaded on Monday morning, 10 am session at my local, about 8 people in the cinema so I sat about 5 rows from the front, it was like I had the place to myself. And the film - WOW I was truly blown away. Bring on Revolutions!!! (Plus the Animatrix DVD next week!)

Other movies I really enjoyed this past week were on cable, The Fast and the Furious (which was a lot better than I was expecting, I'm not usually a big fan of most *action* flicks), The Others (very very clever, well done and go Nic!), and on DVD The Sweetest Thing, which was one of the funniest films I have seen in a long long time, with Cameron Diaz in fine form!!

And I think Amelie is coming on cable next month so I will finally get to see it

Ande, X2 three times! Wow! Would you believe I haven't seen X1 yet?

Unfortunately with two young children under 4, I don't get out to the cinema as often as I would like. The last movie I saw at the cinema was "The Hours", and that was back in February. My wife actually took my 4 year old son to see "The Wild Thornberries Movie" on Saturday morning - it was his first trip to the movies and he loved it!

So I am very behind with my movie viewing, as I usually wait for DVD or even cable for most movies, unless it is one I just can't wait for. I am actually going to see "The Matrix Reloaded" next Monday (by myself!) as I have a couple of weeks off work.

Movies, movies, movies...

The only film from your list that I've seen is "Goldmember". Well, parts of it anyway. You're correct about stopping at three films. The bathroom humor in them is getting extremely disgusting.

Haven't seen "A Guy Thing", but am rather suprised to hear that Jason Lee wasn't good. He usually stands out in everything I've seen him in.

Aside from veggie in front of cable movies most of the weekend two, I did drag myself out to see a few films the way they were meant to be seen: THX big screen! Saw X-Men 2 for the third time. Great film! Also saw Down With Love. Cute movie, Ewan was great. I enjoyed it a lot, but I don't think it's a repeat viewing for me. Will probably see X2 for the fourth time sometime soon.

Well i've been crook as a dog over the weekend so I "took a sickie" (that's took a day off work) today. Did get to watch some movies, though, both on dvd and cable. First was "A Guy Thing" with Julia Stiles (which I got from eBay coz it isn't out at the cinemas here til August) which was just ok - i did actually enjoy it and it had its moments which were genuinely funny, but whilst Julia Stiles shined as usual, Jason Lee was a lame duck. The guy that wrote this film also wrote "Meet the Parents" and I think Ben Stiller with Julia would have made this movie.
Next was "Austin Powers - Goldmember" which was just what I expected, but enjoyable none the less. I think Mike Myers should stop at 3 though, it's getting a bit tired...
On cable i watched "The Man Who Sued God". From the title I wasn't expecting much but with Billy Connolly I thought I would give it a go, and I must say it was the best of the films I saw on the weekend. Also on cable I caught some of "Don't Say A Word", which Brittany Murphy was very impressive in, but I didn't see enough to get the storyline properly! Cable can be like that - see bits and pieces of a movie at different times and finally piece it together...
